Question by Crystal A: Why were the people running for congress not on my ballot today?
I live in Kalamazoo, MI. I have seen ads and researched both Tim Walberg and Mark Schauer who are running against each other for congress. When I went to the polls today, they were not on my ballot at all. Can anyone tell me why that is?
To the one jerk: I did research their values, but did not notice the district limits. There’s no need to be an a** about it. And not that it’s any of your information, but NO, I was not going to vote for Schauer.
To everyone else: Thank you very much. I appreciate your simple explanation.

That’s the Michigan 7th Congressional District. I looked up the territory for that district, and did not see Kalamazoo listed.
It’s not uncommon to see commercials for a neighboring district on TV.
What do you think? Answer below!

maybe you aer in a different district
Maybe because you are in the 6th district, not the 7th district……. The ads you saw were broadcasted over a large area. Maybe you should have paid more attention to the ads and done better research.
Your Rep. is Frederick Upton.
Let me guess, you were going to vote for Mark Schauer???
I really think they should test people before they are allowed to vote.
Like the guy said above. They could very well be running in a different district one that neighbors yours. TV and Radio is generally broadcast through out multiple districts so you can see adds for multiple districts.
As everyone said, they could be in a different Congressional district, assuming they are up for re-election at all.
vote Democratic !
